The term “Old Bush” (老枞, lao cong) refers to tea bushes that are typically 50 years old or older. As tea plants age, their roots penetrate deep into the mineral-rich soil and rock crevices. This allows them to absorb more complex nutrients and contributes to the tea’s distinctive character.
